Lupin III THE FIRST

Lupin III THE FIRST is a good Lupin movie and a plain old good film. Fluidly animated, well-written, and full of references and nods to earlier works, it has a bit of something for most viewers to enjoy. https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

One Piece ‒ Episode 956

Zoro testing out Enma to save Wano (by rather unceremoniously cutting off a huge chunk of it) is bombastic and marvelous. Zoro has consistently gotten amazing moments at nearly every turn and this is no exception. https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

The Apothecary Diaries

This take on Chinese-influenced fantasy works in part because of how intelligently it handles things, and that starts with Maomao. She is every bit as clever as Saiunkoku's Shurei or Ascendance of a Bookworm's Myne and probably both more streetwise and conscious of the intricacies of her setting than either. https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

Fairy Tail Part 24 BD/DVD

Whatever we've seen of Zeref before, whatever dangerous foes Fairy Tail has gone up against, and whatever tragedies lurk in their pasts – none of them are going to hold a candle to what the Alvarez Empire has in store for them https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

Assault Lily Bouquet ‒ Episode 10

I don't have any issue with a show shooting for pathos so long as they make some effort, somewhere, to earn it. Unfortunately the potential for a hearty helping of feels doesn't really get delivered on in this week's installment of Sad Girls With Swords. https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

SPY×FAMILY GN 3

While this certainly doesn't sound like a fun piece of what is essentially a Cold War caper series, we as readers can see that, despite everything, both Yor and Twilight really are starting to care about their daughter. https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

One Piece ‒ Episode 953

The Kawamatsu/Hiyori flashback is fine, but it does not hit quite as hard emotionally as it might otherwise. I think the core issues is that Kawamatsu and Hiyori are, relatively speaking, new characters to the audience. https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
